Overview:
Most teenagers have only a vague idea of what their parents actually do for a living. While careers like doctors, lawyers, and architects are easy to grasp, the world of business management often remains a mystery. Is it exciting? What’s the true mission behind it? There are countless fascinating professions that kids know little about. Have they ever walked through a warehouse, stepped into a brand laboratory, or sat in on a board meeting to experience the pulse of decision-making?

When asked what they want to be when they grow up, some kids might dream of becoming bloggers, while others may aspire to follow in their parents’ footsteps. With this in mind, we launched an ambitious project, welcoming kids aged 10 to 14 for a three-month journey. This initiative, which took months of meticulous planning and close consultation with our legal and compliance experts, culminated in the creation of the Futures Business Internship Program for kids.

The Challenge:
Community building is not just a buzzword; it’s the backbone of successful conglomerates. For years, we’ve been dedicated to supporting our long-standing partner, Galaxy Group of Companies, in fostering a strong community among the employees and families of its 15 companies. When Galaxy came to us with a new challenge—to design a community-building project with lasting, generational impact—we knew it had to resonate deeply with their employees. After thorough research, we identified a unique opportunity: a project that would involve employees and their children. But how do you create something that captivates children? What are their true aspirations? Who do they look up to, and what do they dream of becoming?

The Solution:
Picture this: children stepping into the shoes of top CEOs, exploring the hidden corners of large businesses, experimenting within various industries, and tackling real-world challenges. This vision became our blueprint. While traditional internships focus on education, we wanted this program to embody the spirit of exploration. It wasn’t just about learning; it was about diving into the complex, vibrant world of business, helping kids understand and appreciate the work their parents do. We chose to keep the first round of the program exclusive to the community—open only to the children of employees. No stringent criteria, just a genuine interest in exploring.

The Reception:
What followed was three months of intense, immersive experiences: meetings with CEOs, hands-on workshops, thought-provoking talks, and a final presentation that brought together star CEOs and proud parents. This project was never about making headlines; it was about creating meaningful experiences. The feedback from participants—kids, parents, and business leaders alike—spoke volumes. The success of the Futures Business Internship Program was defined by the enthusiasm and satisfaction of all involved, proving that the right kind of community building can leave a lasting impact across generations.
