Shushan Harutyunyan is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of AxelMondrian & Partners. She oversees the company’s operations and actively participates in project delivery across Campaigns, Lobbying, Reputation, and Crisis Communication.
With over 17 years of experience in Communications, Shushan has held various leadership positions in Yerevan, Brussels, Warsaw, and Budapest in the industry, both in C-suite roles within multilayered corporate structures and as a Management Consultant to business and political leaders, including President, Prime Ministers, Chairpersons, and CEOs. Her professional experience includes successfully managing high-performance teams ranging from 12 to 600 members in diverse cultural, legal, and hybrid environments.
Before co-founding AxelMondrian & Partners, she served as the Chief Communications Officer of Galaxy Group of Companies, Communications Director at Breavis Research company, Deputy Editor in Chief at Forbes Armenia, Contributor at Newsweek and National Geographic, and News Anchor at A1+ News.
Shushan is an alumnus of Oxford University’s Saïd Business School (Executive Education), Center of Corporate Reputation. She holds an MA degree in Anthropology/Gender Studies from Central European University and a BA in Journalism from Yerevan State University. She co-authored the “Studies in Biopolitics” book published by CELAB (2011) in Hungary and authored the book “Nobody Steals It from You: You Give It for Free” on data and privacy, published by Lambert Academic Publishing (2016) in Germany.
Shushan has played a pivotal role in the creation of over 30 influential brands, executed successful campaigns driving public reforms, contributed to electoral victories, led lobbying efforts for public policy changes in the EU territory, and adeptly managed both corporate and crisis cases. Her achievements also encompass the art of crafting life-changing speeches. She has received several awards, including the AGBU Academic Excellence Award and the OSCE Courage Award. Shushan has also spoken at TED and the International Women’s Media Foundation, served as a jury member for Caskey business cases and the International Grand Jury at the Gerety Awards.
